The Yacoubian Building has proven to be a one of a kind film that clearly sets itself as a new genre for the Egyptian Industry and the Egyptian people.
Being a controversial film that criticizes and tackles sensitive and so called "Taboo" issues, contrary to what people might think Yacoubian was no.1 at the Egyptian Box Office for a period of over 7 months! A never before witnessed phenomenon!
